Single father episode one: star casting

Single father is a very well written, Brilliantly directed and emotionally charged drama that is a great example of BBC television the world needs to see. However, I fell that we should address something. And I mean we as in me because it's really sound posh if I address myself in the third person. Casting David tennant as Dave was stupid. Don't get me wrong, David can wear and a nazi uniform and read mien kamfe in front of my tv screen and i would award him with a bafta. He's a great actor that the jizz of it. But, he's too young. I know he's 40 but he looks 20ish. I think is the stress of playing the doctor (and to the people how call the doctor 'doctor who' f*ck off) lifted away from his shoulders. Either that or he has found the fountain of youth in Los angles. He can't play middle age. Middle age need to be filled with grey hair and getting fat rather than look cool riding a motorcycle and wearing turtlenecks. If you compare Dave to one of his football buddies, you would think that Dave is the guys younger brother.
Ok! The show is about a father of five (and a family dynamic that would put the plot of 'the big bang' to shame) trying to cope with the death of her wife and trying to raise his kids. One of which is an adult girl from a previous marriage and one is not her biological child. I know wibly-wobly timey-wimey. It's not really my cup of tea, But it's David tennant. And this why I cry wolf. David tenant was cast to draw in the absolute David tennant fans. The people who would stay up until 2 In the morning just to watch it on live stream. Again, I'm not judging the the show,I'm judging the production. It's a good show even without the presence of David tennant. A good widely known British actor can play this and still be good. The story is solid. But the cast of tennant was done in order to sell more DVDs and broadcast rights. The producers shamelessly rode on the David tennant wave and became american producers. Which is lower than lobbyist.
But I give them a tip of my hat. If my only comment is David tennant's casting, they are doing thier job. Still, it's the first episode and their is still room for them to f*k it up.
